Amr ibn Uthman (may God be pleased with him) ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him), son of the caliph Uthman. Al-Mas'udi relates that he was with Khalid ibn Abd Allah ibn Khalid ibn Asid, and they offered Ibn al-Zubayr the safe conduct of Abd al-Malik for him and for those with him, and that he might settle in whichever land he wished under God's covenant and pledge.
