Overview

Abu Umar Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Kindi al-Misri. "Kashf al-Zunun" says that he was the first to gather the reports of the judges of Egypt down to 246 AH. 1

Ibn Zulaq continued his book, and then Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani added a large volume to it, titled "Raf' al-Isr an Qudat Misr". 1

He should not be confused with Ya'qub ibn Ishaq al-Kindi the philosopher; the museum's data treat them as two different people.
