Overview

Abu Muslim al-Kajji, one of the great hadith scholars with a high chain of transmission. He wrote the book "al-Sunan" and the book "al-Musnad". 2

Why he was named

The source relates that his father moved to Basra and built a house of gypsum and brick. He used to say to the workmen "Kaj ackaj", meaning use the gypsum, and the word came to be his nickname, so he was called al-Kajji. 2

What the sources do not give here

The data of this page include another source, the "Deaths of Notables", but it gives nothing from it here. There is no date of death, which needs an additional source.
