What Ibn al-Nadim relates

He used to live in a district between the two palaces, and Ibn al-Nadim describes him as having delicate craft and a wondrous meaning in his expression and speech. He went out to Adharbayjan for a matter that reached him in Baghdad after the exile of al-Shirmadhi al-Daylami, for he had leaned towards him. 2

His years of life and his full name are not known, and need an additional source.
