Overview

Ahmad ibn al-Tayyib, whom al-Mas'udi counts among those who arose after the appearance of Islam and were concerned with the science of the heavens, together with al-Kindi, Ibn al-Munajjim and Abu Ma'shar. 1

His life and his era need an additional source. He may be Ahmad ibn al-Tayyib al-Sarakhsi, but the museum's data do not settle that.
