Overview
Abu Nasr ibn al-Hannat al-Shirazi, a jurist and theologian of eloquent speech, a Sufi and a poet. He took jurisprudence from his father Abu Abd Allah al-Hannat. 1
He died at Fayd on the road to Mecca and left many works on jurisprudence and its principles, and the jurists of Shiraz took from him. 1
The book relates that he, or his father, spoke in a session of disputation and impressed those present. Abu Sa'd Bishr ibn al-Husayn al-Dawudi objected to him and he answered. 1
Al-Shirazi does not give the year of his death, which needs an additional source.
