Overview
Abu Bakr al-Bardha'i, Muhammad ibn Abd Allah, a jurist whom Ibn al-Nadim met in 340 AH. 2
As Ibn al-Nadim describes him
Ibn al-Nadim says that he had a friendship with him, that he professed the doctrine of the Mu'tazila, and that he was a Kharijite and one of their jurists. 2
His books
Ibn al-Nadim relates that he had several books on jurisprudence, among them "al-Murshid fi al-Fiqh", "al-Radd ala al-Mukhalifin", "Tadhkirat al-Gharib", "al-Tabassur li al-Muta'allimin", "al-Ihtijaj ala al-Mukhalifin" and "al-Jami' fi Usul al-Fiqh". Also among them "al-Du'a", "al-Nasikh wa al-Mansukh fi al-Qur'an", "al-Sunna wa al-Jama'a", "al-Imama", "Naqd Kitab Ibn al-Rawandi fi al-Imama", "Tahrim al-Maskir" and "al-Radd ala man qal bi al-Mut'a". 2
What is not covered here: his birth and death. A second source is needed. His description as a Mu'tazili and a Kharijite comes from Ibn al-Nadim alone.
