Overview
Abdan, author of compiled books, linked to the call of Hamdan Qarmat. Ibn al-Nadim says that the missionaries dispersed through the countryside of Kufa, and that they went to Bahrain, Fars and al-Ahsa through the agency of Abdan, the successor and son-in-law of Hamdan Qarmat. 2
Ibn al-Nadim says that he was the most prolific of the group in books, and that whoever wrote a book attributed it to him, so most of their books are attributed to him. His index includes the book of the Mill and the Wheel, the book of the Limits and the Chain, the book of the Shining, the book of the Splendour, the book of the Field, and among his great books the book of the Fires, the book of the Epics and the book of the Aim. 3
