Overview
Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Ammar, the first of the sons of Ammar ibn Yasir (may God be pleased with him) to enter al-Andalus. Al-Maqqari, quoting Ibn Hayyan, says that Yusuf ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Fihri wrote to him urging him to rise against Abd al-Rahman ibn Mu'awiya al-Dakhil, who had been an amir over the Yemenis of the Damascus army. He says that Yusuf relied on him because of the vengeance between the sons of Ammar and the Umayyads over the killing of Ammar at Siffin. 2
