Summary
Malik said: if a man remits a thousand dirhams of the contract slave's price at his death, whether from the beginning or from the end of the contract, and the original contract was three thousand dirhams: the contract is valued in cash value, then that value is divided so that each thousand receives its share of the value according to how near it is to the due date and its excess. Then in the dead man's third is placed the amount that that thousand's share of the value comes to. 1
