Summary
Malik said: likewise, if a contract slave contracts a slave, and the other contract slave is freed before his master who contracted him, the clientage of that other belongs to the master of the contract slave, unless the first contract slave is freed by the one who contracted him; if he is freed, the clientage of the contract slave he freed before returns to him. If the first contract slave dies before paying, or becomes unable while he has free children, they do not inherit the clientage of their father's contract slave, because their father did not keep the clientage until he was freed. 1
