Summary
Malik said: the best that has been heard about a contract slave who wounds a man in a way that carries blood-money: if the contract slave is strong enough to pay the blood-money of the wound while under contract, he pays it and remains under contract. If he is not strong enough, he is unable, and his master is given the choice: if he wishes, he pays the blood-money of the wound and keeps his slave to remain enslaved; if he wishes, he hands the slave over to the wounded man, and the master owes nothing beyond handing over his slave. 1
