Summary
Malik said: the agreed practice among us is that when slaves are contracted all together in one contract, some of them guarantee others, and nothing is remitted from them by the death of one of them. If one of them says: I am unable, his companions may employ him in what work he can bear, and they help one another with their contract, until they are freed together or enslaved together. 1
