Summary
Malik said of a contract of manumission slave between two men, one of whom gave him respite for his right, while the other refused, and the first collected part of his right, then the contract slave died leaving property that does not cover the contract: they share in proportion to what remains for each. If anything remains after the contract, they divide it equally. If the contract slave became unable and one of them had collected more, the slave is between them in halves, and the one who collected returns nothing to his partner, because he collected his right with his partner's permission. 1
