Overview
In 270 AH a report came that a mound on the river al-Sarat known as the mound of the Banu Shaqiq split open and revealed seven graves in a stone slab with writing on it that no one could read. 2
What was found
Ibn al-Jawzi relates that there were seven whole bodies in them, wearing new soft shrouds that gave off a smell of musk. One of them was a young man with abundant hair; his forehead, ears, nose and lips were sound, and there was moisture on his lip as if he had drunk water. Some of those present pulled hair from some of them and found it strong at the root, like the hair of the living. 2
This report is transmitted by Ibn al-Jawzi and needs an additional source.
