Overview

Al-Tabari mentions the rising of the Rawandiyya. He relates that some said their affair and the affair of Abu Ja'far was in 137 AH or 136 AH. 1

Al-Suyuti's account

Al-Suyuti says that the Rawandiyya, who held the doctrine of metempsychosis, appeared in 141 AH, and that al-Mansur killed them. 2
