Summary

In the Sheikh's lessons, the creation of man follows successive stages, the soul is breathed in at the end, and he uses this as evidence for resurrection. 1 2

The stages

He says that man was created from dust mixed with water and became clay, then was exposed to fire in its stages, then became fermented mud and then dried clay (needs_source). 1 2

The soul

He says the soul is breathed in at the end of creation, so it is the last thing formed in a person, and that it leaves at death (needs_source). 2 3

The coccyx

He relates a report about a bone at the base of the spine, the coccyx, from which the body is re-made on the Day of Resurrection, and that it does not decay (needs_source). 4

From Sheikh Omar Abdelkafy's Tafsir lectures (episode 3)

The Sheikh says that Adam was the last of the creatures, and that God made everything He had created before him subservient to humankind 5. He lists among these the planets, the earth, the stars, the seas and oceans, the plants and the animals 5.

He says the whole cosmos became a servant to the son of Adam, yet apparently the servant lives longer than the one served, like the sun, the moon and the seas 6.

He says the cosmos was created millions of years ago and will remain as long as God wills, while a person's lifespan runs between sixty and a hundred and twenty years (needs_source) 7. He asks how the one served, who is of higher standing, can be the shorter-lived 7.

The people of the qibla and not declaring takfir for sin

al-Tahawi's principle of calling the people of the qibla Muslims and believers so long as they accept what the Prophet brought, and of not declaring any of them an unbeliever for a sin unless he declares it lawful.
