ما القدس وبيت المقدس؟

ما القدس وبيت المقدس؟

Jerusalem is the city of the prophets, home of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. It is the first of the two qiblas, the third of the sacred sanctuaries, and the site of the Prophet's night journey. Umar conquered it in 638, and Saladin liberated it in 1187.

الاختلاف في عدد الغزوات والسرايا

The maghazi arithmetic disputes: Ibn Ishaq's twenty-six raids versus the twenty-seven that split Wadi'l-Qura from Khaybar; nine pitched battles common to both lists with al-Waqidi adding Wadi'l-Qura and al-Ghaba for eleven; and the sariya counts ranging from thirty-five to al-Waqidi's forty-eight (in al-Tabari's chain) to sixty-six.
