A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
Quba, a village at Medina's southern edge where the Prophet ﷺ stayed on his arrival from the Hijra on Monday 8 Rabi' al-Awwal 1 AH, matching 23 September 622 CE. He stayed four days by Ibn Ishaq's telling the author chose — Bukhari has twenty-four nights, fourteen and thirteen — then rode into Medina on Friday. He founded the mosque of Quba and prayed in it, the first mosque founded on piety after the prophethood, and lodged with Kulthum ibn al-Hidm (may God be pleased with him) — the sounder reading — or Sa'd ibn Khaythama, it is said.
