Quraysh was the prominent Arab tribe of Mecca, entrusted with the care of the Kaaba, the water supply, and hospitality for pilgrims under Qusayy ibn Kilab. Famous for their winter and summer trade caravans, its clans included Banu Hashim, Banu Taym, Banu Adi, and Banu Umayya, producing the Prophet ﷺ and the Rightly Guided Caliphs.
