The Isra and Mi'raj
A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
The Prophet was carried by night in his body, on the sound reading, from the Sacred Mosque to Jerusalem riding al-Buraq with Gabriel, then taken up through the heavens, meeting the prophets, and the prayer was laid upon him; told of it in the morning, his people denied him fiercely. He met Adam in the first heaven, Yahya and Isa in the second, Yusuf in the third, Idris in the fourth, Harun in the fifth, Musa in the sixth — who wept that a youth sent after him would enter Paradise with more of his community — and Ibrahim in the seventh; then he was raised to the Lote Tree of the Boundary and on to the Almighty, who imposed fifty prayers which his returns to Musa brought down to five. The timing is disputed on several sayings; the book prefers it after Khadija's death.
