Expedition of Nakhla
A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
In Rajab 2 AH (January 624 CE) the Prophet ﷺ sent Abdullah ibn Jahsh (may God be pleased with him) al-Asadi with twelve of the Emigrants, each pair taking turns on a camel, writing him a letter he ordered him not to read until he had marched two days — then to do his task and force none of his companions. Abdullah read it after two days: 'when you have read this letter of mine, go on till you camp at Nakhla between Mecca and Taif, watch Quraysh's caravan there and bring us news of them'; he told his companions and they all rose. On the way Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas and Utba ibn Ghazwan (may God be pleased with him) lost a camel they were sharing and stayed behind seeking it, while the rest of the party went on and camped at Nakhla.
