Summary
Yufid.TV is the flagship channel of the Yufid Network, an Indonesian dawah media network formed in Yogyakarta in 2009 and run by the Yufid Network foundation (Yayasan Yufid Network), legally registered on 27 October 2014. The network produces Islamic teaching videos at scale — more than a hundred a month, according to a 2025 study — across its Yufid.TV, Yufid EDU and Yufid Kids channels, whose subscribers together pass 6.7 million; the flagship channel alone counted about 4.24 million subscribers by vidIQ's count read on 3 November 2026, a dated platform figure. 1 2 3
Origins
The network grew out of the Salafi student movement at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta: its founders were IT-department alumni who had met at Salafi campus lectures run by the al-Atsari Islamic Education Foundation (YPIA), and their first project, in 2009, was the yufid.com search engine, which restricted its results to approved Salafi sources, run from a modest office north of central Yogyakarta. 4 The channel project dates to June 2009, and the foundation that now runs the network, based in Sleman in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, was legally registered in 2014 with the stated mission of spreading Islamic teaching according to the understanding of the Prophet and his companions. 2
Channels and platforms
Beside the main Yufid.TV channel, the network runs the Yufid EDU education channel and the Yufid Kids children's channel, and consultation platforms such as KonsultasiSyariah.com, where written fatwa-style answers accompany the video output. 1 4 A 2016 academic study of Indonesian Salafi media also records that Yufid TV, like Rodja TV, operated under the management umbrella of KPMI, the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community. 5
Orientation
Scholars describe Yufid as a media platform affiliated with the Salafi movement in Indonesia, and its output presents hadith and Qur'an teaching in that frame; the museum records this as the network's documented orientation, stated factually, and not as a ruling on any individual associated with it. 1 4
